The Global College Research Team Wins Best Paper Award

at the ‘Thailand International Academic Conference’



 The Global College research team from Kyungsung University (President Lee Jong-geun) participated in the ‘1st International Symposium on Gastronomy and Sustainable Tourism,’ held at Suan Dusit University in Thailand from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25, and won the Best Paper Award.


 At this international academic exchange conference, research teams from various countries, including Thailand, China, the United States, South Korea, and New Zealand, presented on diverse topics and shared their international research achievements.

 The Global College research team from Kyungsung University, consisting of members from various nationalities, including Indonesia, Nepal, and South Korea (Aura Lydia Riswanto, Sei-eun Kim, Sonam Sherpa, etc.), presented on the theme ‘From Data To Dine: Integrating Big Data And Survey Insights On Gen Z Preferences For Michelin-Starred Restaurants In Thailand’ in the research presentation section, and won the Best Paper Award.

 Professor Hak-seon Kim, who led the research team, stated in the recent presentation, “This study deeply analyzed Gen Z's preferences for Michelin-starred restaurants in Thailand through big data and surveys, providing key insights into customer food preferences and satisfaction.” He also emphasized, “The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the establishment of important marketing strategies in the tourism and food service industries, and we will continue conducting related research to achieve results that are practically beneficial to the industry.”
