On February 1st, Kyungsung University held the 'KSU CUP' soccer tournament for international students at the Gymnasium Field of the Genesis.

Organized by the Global College of Kyungsung University, this event aimed to foster camaraderie and interaction among international students from five national teams (Nepal, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Korea, and a Joint Team) and two major-specific teams (Global Hospitality Management and Global IT Engineering). It also sought to enhance the sense of belonging and pride among the school community through participation in campus events by foreign students.

The tournament featured seven teams competing in a tournament format, with Uzbekistan and Nepal advancing to the finals. The intense match ended in a 2-2 draw in regular time, leading to a thrilling penalty shootout where Uzbekistan emerged victorious with a score of 4-2, clinching the championship trophy.

Hak-Seon Kim, Dean of the Global College, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic participation and interest shown by international students in the tournament. He commented, "We are pleased to conclude this event in a joyful atmosphere without any safety incidents. Through this tournament, I hope our international students can rejuvenate their bodies and minds weary from academics and continue to demonstrate their passion and spirit of challenge not only in their studies but also in their future endeavors."

Currently, Kyungsung University hosts approximately 2,000 international students from 54 countries. In pursuit of its internationalization vision and specialization, the university has established the Global College in March 2024 to provide systematic management tailored for international students and deliver high-quality educational services, aiming to foster global talents.
